That one billionaire can practically decide the fate of women’s soccer in the United States. I’m sure there are aspects to this decision that we (the fans) are unaware of. However, in the months following the World Cup all of the young girls that play soccer were given an incredible opportunity to watch amazing women excel at a sport that had previously been somewhat obscure in America. FINALLY young girls had real women to look up to.
I have heard a lot of talk about wanting to do what is best for the sport and leaving something sustainable for future generations of female soccer players. What does this leave?
This has to be about more than money and fame.
Brace yourselves Londontown. You won’t know what hit you. #goingforgold
